Prior To SIU

Alex Cimera comes to Carbondale from Ravenna, Ohio where he attended Stow Munroe Falls High School. Cimera spent his senior season as the team captain and helped lead the team to a 10-1 record. Throughout his high school career Cimera was a two-time MVP in the Suburban League, a three-time All-American, six-time All-Ohio member, a four-time Team MVP, and a four-year Ohio state qualifier. He also holds his high school record in four different events as well as being a member of three school relay records.
