Outdoor: Finished 14th in the 400m at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Championships (6/6)…Highest finisher in the event at the national meet from a Non-Power five conference school...Was the first Saluki to qualify for NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400m since Felix Anderson did so in 2003…Ran a lifetime-best 45.70 at the NCAA West Prelims (5/27) to finish 10th in the 400m and advance to the NCAA Outdoor Championships…Moved up to third on SIU’s all-time outdoor 400m list with his time from the NCAA West Prelims…Also ran the 200m at the NCAA West Prelims, finishing fifth in his heat and 25th overall…Won his second-straight outdoor title in the 400m with a time of 46.38 at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/14)…Became the first Saluki since Erick Pegues in 1990 to win back-to-back MVC outdoor 400m titles…Ran the fifth-fastest 200m time in school history (20.89) at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/13)…Helped SIU's 4x100 and 4x400 relays post season-best times at the conference meet, as the 4x100 relay took fourth with a time of 41.09 and the 4x400 scored two team points with a seventh-place showing…Set a personal-best in the 100m at the Lenny Lyles Invite (4/29) with a time of 10.59…In addition to his win in the 400m at the MVC Championships, also won the event at the Kansas Relays (4/22) and the Tennessee Relays (4/8).
Indoor: Finished 12th in the 400m at the 2017 NCAA Indoor Championships…Took second in the 400m and third in the 200m at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/25), earning All-MVC honors in both events…Helped SIU’s 4x400 relay run a season-best time of 3:20.56 to finish seventh at the MVC Indoor Championships…Won four 400m event titles indoors, with wins at the Music City Challenge (2/10), Indiana Relays (1/27), Illini Classic (1/14) and Saluki Fast Start (12/10)…Also won the 60m at the Saluki Fast Start…Ran the third-fastest 200m in school history (21.46) at the Indiana Relays (1/27) to earn MVC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week...Clocked an indoor PR of 46.26 at the Music City Challenge (2/10) to move up to number two in school history and earn MVC Men’s Track Athlete of the Week honors…Ran the fourth-fastest 60m time in school history (6.86) at the Illini Classic (1/14).
