Omaha, Neb. - The second conference win for the women's tennis team came easily Friday afternoon as they defeated Creighton, 5-1. SIU jumped to 5-10 on the season with a 2-0 MVC record, while the Bluejays fell 2-12 overall, 1-3 in the conference.
Against CU, the women's tennis team snagged 5 of 6 singles matches with junior Alejandra Blanco, and freshmen Maria Blanco, Zuzana Palovic, Zoya Honarmand, and Sophie Bedard all getting singles wins. Honarmand grabbed her sixth win of the season at singles. Doubles matches were not played.
The Salukis continue their road trip with a matches against Drake and Northern Iowa. Results can be found at www.siusalukis.com.
