Women's Tennis Drop Match to SMS 4-2

SPRINGFIELD, MO. - The women's tennis team continues to struggle in the Missouri Valley Conference as they fall to 1-3 in MVC play with as they were defeated 4-2 by the Southwest Missouri State Bears yesterday in Springfield, Mo.
Senior Alejandra Blanco and sister junior Maria Blanco gave a solid effort as they picked up two wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 singles spots. Unfortunaltly for the Dawgs they were the only two able to come out of SMS with wins. The Bears posted wins at the No.3-No.6 singles spots to capture the 4-2 win. There were no doubles matches played due to inclement weather conditions.
The Salukis are back in action Saturday as they continue MVC play as they travel to face the Shockers of Wichita State. Match time is scheduled for 10:00 am.
