Women's Tennis Coach Brett Bridel Announces Resignation

Southern Illinois University women's tennis head coach Brett Bridel announced Friday he has resigned his position, citing personal reasons.
Bridel was set to enter his second season at the helm of SIU. In the spring of 2005, he guided the Salukis to a 6-12 overall record and 4-5 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play.
Associate athletics director Kathy Jones said the department hopes to have a head coach in place soon. The Salukis play their first match of the season on Jan. 28, 2006, against Wisconsin-Green Bay.
