WATERLOO, Iowa - The Southern Illinois women's tennis team dropped its third Missouri Valley Conference match of the season today with a 5-2 loss at the University of Northern Iowa.
The Salukis (10-6, 2-3 MVC) fell behind early, dropping all three doubles matches to the Panthers (14-4, 3-1 MVC).
UNI continued to dominate through singles play, winning all but two of the matches to collect the 5-2 victory.
Sabine Tsala Mvilongo won her match at No. 1 singles over Meghana Paritala, 6-3, 1-6, 6-2. Amanda Taillefer picked up the Salukis' only other point with her 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 6.
The Salukis will return to action tomorrow at 10 a.m. when they face Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
