Anita Lee shines at Saluki Fall Draw

CARBONDALE, Ill. - Freshman Anita Lee won both her single matches Sunday as the Southern Illinois University women's tennis team hosted Eastern Illinois and Saint Louis in the Saluki Fall Draw.
Lee defeated SLU's Jenny Nalepa (4-6, 6-4) (10-7) and Eastern Illinois' Merritt Whitley (8-5).
The Salukis were 2-2 in team doubles with Southern Illinois Melanie Delsart and Jennifer Dien defeating a team from Eastern Illinois, 8-3, and then falling to Saint Louis, 8-5.
"It was a good warm-up for the ITA Regionals that start on Thursday," said head coach Audra Nothwehr. "It's a lot of matches in one day, and I thought it gave us an opportunity to work on our focus."
