Women's Tennis starts fall season at UNLV Invitational

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Southern Illinois University women's tennis team will open the fall season at the UNLV Invitational hosted by the University of Nevada-Las Vegas Sept. 20-21, at the UFertitta Tennis Complex in Las Vegas.
The Salukis will compete against players from Long Beach State, New Mexico State, Northern Arizona, North Texas, UNLV, Middle Tennessee State and South Alabama.
Matches are scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday with Sunday's schedule to be determined.
The Salukis return five players from last seasons record-setting 19-5 squad including senior Anita Lee and juniors Ariadna Cairo Baza and Gisela Cairo Baza.
"We are excited to play in this tournament against some tough teams," said head coach Audra Anderson. "I think it will give us a good challenge to see where we are at right now."
