Anita Lee earns MVC Leadership & Service Award

ST. LOUIS - Southern Illinois senior Anita Lee has earned the Missouri Valley Conference Leadership & Service Award for the spring season, the conference announced. The award goes to the student-athletes who are in good academic standing and demonstrate good citizenship through sportsmanship and community service.
Lee holds a 3.78 GPA in biological sciences. She is a three-time First-Team Scholar-Athlete, a four-time Dean's List honoree, and is graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. She is a two-time member of the MVC Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award (2011-12, 2012-13) and a three-time MVC Conference Honor Roll selection.
In addition, Lee has contributed to Parrish Pumpkin Fest, SIU Athletics Thank-A-Thon, SIU Athletics Kids Night Out, Natalie's Toy Drive, Boys and Girls Club Carnival, among others. She was also a speaker for National Girls and Women in Sport Day.
