Saluki tennis 2015 summer camp dates set

CARBONDALE, Ill. - The Saluki tennis program has announced dates for this year's Saluki tennis summer camps.
SIU's women's tennis coach, Audra Anderson, will be the camp director for all three sessions. One camp will be held in June while the other two are scheduled for August. All camps are open to boys and girls of varying skill levels.
Discounts of $15 off camp registration fees will be offered to families with two or more participants in the same camp. There is a $15 cancellation fee, but refunds will be acknowledged if cancellations are made at least seven business days prior to the event.
Saluki Tennis Camp I
Monday, June 8 - Thursday, June 11
Full Day Cost: $235 (early bird) or $255 (after May 29 deadline)
Half-Day Cost: $145 (early bird) or $165 (after May 29 deadline)
*Half-days are three hours a day - either morning session from 9-noon or afternoon from 1:45-5
This full day or half-day, commuter only camp is open to players entering grades 4-12. Lunch will be provided in a $7 meal card each day that can be used at the SIU Student Center. The camp includes almost six hours a day of tennis instruction, drills, strategy and singles and doubles match play. All levels are welcome, as players will be split into groups according to level.
Saluki Tennis Camp II
Monday, August 3 - Thursday, August 6
Cost: $120 (early bird) or $140 (after July 27 deadline)
This half-day, commuter only camp is open to players entering grades 4-12. The camp runs from 1-4 p.m. The camp includes almost three hours a day of tennis instruction, drills, strategy and singles point play. All levels are welcome, as players will be split into groups according to level.
10 and Under Camp
Monday, August 3 - Thursday, August 6
Cost: $95 (early bird) or $115 (after July 27 deadline)
This is a commuter only camp open to players ages four through 1-, who are in the beginning stages of tennis and just learning the basic tennis strokes. The camp runs from 9-11 a.m. and will focus on learning the rules of the game, learning proper technique and having fun. Depending on the age and level of the group, there will be a US Open Orange Ball and foam balls that are appropriate to learn on due to the fact that they won't bound over the kids' heads and don't travel as fast.
