CARBONDALE, ILL. - The women's tennis locker room was dedicated Saturday in honor of Saluki hall of famer Judy Auld. Auld coached women's tennis at Southern Illinois University for 30 years and racked up over 400 wins in her tenure. The Saluki great had six 20-win seasons, coached 32 league champions, was the 1988 Missouri Valley Conference coach of the year, and won two conference titles.
Through the generosity of over 60 donors a plaque was hung and improvements have been made to the locker room including new sofas, lockers, and a smart TV.
A tour of the locker room was given at 9 a.m., followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony in the Cook Club at 9:30, and alumni tennis matches at University Courts at 11 a.m.
