
Women’s Golf Takes 10th at Bama Beach Bash

Southern Illinois women's golf finished in 10th place by shooting 938 (+74) across three rounds at the Bama Beach Bash. The Salukis carded 24-over 312 in Sunday's final round at Gulf Shores Country Club. South Alabama took the title with a final score of 891 (+27).
Senior Emilyee McGiles had SIU's best score at 16-over 232 and finished tied for 30th. Sophomore Ayanna Habeel shot a 17-over total of 233 and recorded five birdies in the last day of play to finished tied for 32nd place. Freshman Janie Samattiyadeekul carded 10-over 82 in the final round and finished tied for 39th place at 19-over 235.
Senior Moyea Russell and fifth-year Erica Kerr both contributed to the team scoring during the tournament, shooting 23-over total of 239 and 36-over total of 245 finishing T46 and T81.

The Salukis are back on the course when they host the Diane Daugherty Invite at Greenbriar Hills Country Club in Kirkwood, Missouri on Monday, March 29.
