KIRKWOOD, Mo. — Southern Illinois women's golf is set to host the Diane Daugherty Invite at Greenbriar Hills Country Club.
The tournament is named after Saluki Hall of Fame Women's Golf Coach, Diane Daugherty. Daugherty was a three-time conference Coach of the Year who won five conference championships (1988, 1990, 1998, 2000, 2007). Her teams also made five second-place finishes at the conference tournament. She coached three individual title winners, 21 Academic All-Americans and won 10 tournament titles. Daugherty was also named to the MVC's All-Centennial Team coaches wing in 2007.
The Salukis lineup will consist of senior Emilyee McGiles, Sophomore Ayanna Habeel, senior Moyea Russell, Janie Samattiyadeekul, and fifth-year Erica Kerr. Rosemarie Bundy will be competing as an individual.
SIU is set to tee off Monday at 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun for the first round of 36-holes. The weather is forecast to be sunny, a high of 65, with a 12mph south wind. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.
