The Southern Illinois women's golf team is set to open the spring season at the Lady Bison Bay Point Classic, hosted by Lipscomb University and presented by Under Armour. The Salukis lineup will be seniors Moyea Russell & Rosemarie Bundy, sophomores Janie Samattiyadeekul & Waew Anuvran, and freshman Kylee Vaughan. Senior Ryleigh Vaughn will compete as an individual.
The 15-team field will tee off at the The Nicklaus Course at St. Andrew's Bay, the only Nicklaus design in northwest Florida. The course is set against the backdrop of Bay Point with panoramic views of the bay, wildlife sanctuary, and wetlands.
The first round tees off with a shotgun start at 8:30am CT on Monday. The weather forecast calls for cloudy skies with a high of 53. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat. The third and final round of 18-holes will be played on Tuesday with a shotgun start at 8:30am CT.
