Friday's match with Illinois State will begin at 6pm followed by a first serve at 5pm on Saturday for Senior Night.Â

The Salukis will honor seniors Nataly Garcia, Nsia Gittens, Imani Hartfield, and Tatum Tornatta on Saturday prior to the match against Bradley at 5pm.Â

Cecilia Bulmahn was named Missouri Valley Defensive Player of the Week after averaging 7.13 digs per set a week ago. Bulmahn recorded 36 digs against Belmont, a career-high and the second-most in a single match in SIU history.

Weekend Matchups

The Salukis and Redbirds face off for the first time this season. Illinois State defeated Southern in four-sets a season ago in Normal. The Redbirds lead the all-time series at 82-13 as the Dawgs look to notch their first win over Illinois State since 2016.

The Redbirds come into the weekend in fifth place at 9-6 in the MVC, just one game ahead of the Salukis.

The Salukis will take on Bradley for the first time this season. SIU leads the all-time series at 47-26 and won the previous matchup a year ago in four-sets.Â
