CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois University track and field continues its track and field season at the Indiana Invitational Friday, January 19, in Bloomington, Ind.
The meet spans over two days. Field events start at 3:30 p.m. Friday and 9:45 a.m. Saturday ET; track events begin at 5:10 p.m. Friday and 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
RECORD-BREAKING SALUKIS
Rachel Anderson and Iaunia Pointer added their names to the record book a few more times at the Badgers Midwest Invite on January 13.
Anderson's time of 9:31.37 broke a school record in the 3000-meter run, giving her two of the top 10 finishes in Saluki history. She also added another top-10 finish all time in the one-mile run, breaking her own personal record with a time of 4:47.51, a time that slots second in Saluki history. She joined Ty-Nica Davis and Pointer as the only Salukis with multiple indoor records.

Pointer added to her extensive list of accomplishments by breaking the Saluki record in the 300-meter run with a time of 37.82. She now owns the school-record in the 200, 300 and 400-meter dash.

- In field events, Dallas Hodge, Sercye Haynes and Xavier Moore set personal records in the weight throw.
