Preview | Indoor season kicks off at the Saluki Fast Start

CARBONDALE, Ill. -Â Southern Illinois University's track and field program starts the indoor season by hosting the Saluki Fast Start. The event will take place in the SIU Recreation Center on Friday, Dec. 6 at 1 p.m. and will conclude Saturday, Dec. 7 starting at 9 a.m.
Southern Illinois will compete against Central Methodist, Lindenwood, Maryville (MO), Murray State, Principia, Saint Louis, SIUE, and Washington U.
Day one of the Saluki Fast Start will have the Pentathlon and Heptathlon starting at 1 p.m., the men's weight throw at 6 p.m., and the day will wrap with the women's weight throw at 7:30 p.m.
Day two kicks off with field events at 9 a.m. and track events will start at 2:15 p.m. The estimated completion time of the event is 7:30 p.m.
