CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois track and field will send competitors to three different locations for meets beginning Thursday.
Jadon Robertson is traveling to Texas State to compete in the men's decathlon, and Rachel Anderson will head to Stanford to compete in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase.
Robertson was last seen at the Missouri Valley Conferences where he finished third in the high jump and fourth in the heptathlon. The meet begins Thursday with action starting at 9 a.m. Check the Bobcat Invitational Meet Schedule for information on specific event start times.
Anderson has not yet competed in the 3000-meter steeplechase this season, but she is coming off a 2000-meter steeplechase win which she won by over 12 seconds. She will compete in the Stanford Invitational, one of the most prestigious distance meets in the country. Action begins Friday at 9 a.m. PT and information on event times can be found on the Stanford Invitational Meet Info page.
The rest of the team will compete in the Joey Haines Invitational at Southeast Missouri State. Visit the Meet Info page for more information.
At the Margaret Simmons Invitational, the Salukis tallied a total of five first-place and ten top-three finishes.
Nikoby Johnson, Daryl Okeke, Christian Coleman, Ansley Bailey and Josh Delgado were among those who took home first place.
