PALM CITY, Fla. - Southern Illinois Women's Golf finished 11th at the Advance Golf Partners Invitational in Palm City, Fla.
Kayla Sayyalinh and Pihla Pennanen led the Salukis, tying for 28th and 32nd place, respectively. Pennanen led the Salukis with a low round of 72 (E) in round two, a round that was kind to all Saluki golfers as the team shot 295.
Head Coach Rory Weinfurther identified the key to success in that round.
"The second round had a lot of pretty accessible and good pins so I think after going over the course the night before and then seeing it that gave them a lot of confidence to attack the pins and make some birdies," Weinfurther said.
