CARBONDALE, Ill. - Southern Illinois Women's Golf will continue its spring season with a trip to Huntsville, Ala., to compete in the Huntsville.org Intercollegiate beginning Monday. The tournament takes place over two days, with teams playing 36 holes Monday and 18 on Tuesday.
Golfers will head to Hampton Cove, a par-72 that spreads 6,039 yards.
The Salukis finished eleventh at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, where Kayla Sayyalinh and Pihla Pennanen continued to lead the Salukis, tying for 28th and 32nd place, respectively. Pennanen had a team-low round of 72 in round two.Â
Sayyalinh and Pennanen will be joined by Ella Overstreet, Allie Santos and Calli Smith as part of the five-player squad for Southern.
Monday's weather calls for a high of 64 degrees with partly cloudy skies and winds up to 10 miles per hour. Tuesday's forecast sees 73 degrees with partly cloudy skies and winds up to 20-30 mph.
