Prior to coming to SIU, Bezdickova had a successful collegiate career at University of New Mexico where she played in the No. 1 spot on the Lobos tennis team for four years. Over the course of her collegiate career, Bezdickova was named to the All-Mountain West Conference singles team four times, the doubles team three times and was the Lobos team captain as a senior.
Bezdickova has participated in Pro Tennis Tournaments on the International Tennis Federation Pro Circuit since 2006. In that time, she ranked as high as No. 74 in ITA National Division I Singles rankings, No. 6 for ITA Mountain Region singles rankings and No. 10 for ITA Mountain Region doubles rankings.
Along with her athletic success, Bezdickova has also found academic success. She was named to the Capital One Academic All-District First Team by CoSIDA, was an ITA Scholar athlete for four years, and maintained a 4.0 GPA as a finance major.
Bezdickova, originally from the Czech Republic, graduated with a bachelor of business administration from University of New Mexico in May 2014.
