CHAMPAIGN, IL. - The Salukis over powered Eastern Illinois as the Dawgs handed the Panthers a 7-0 loss on Saturday.
Senior Tana Trapani and junior Maria Blanco lead the Salukis to their first win of the season, as Blanco defeated Sandra Sasidharan at the No. 1 singles spot and Trapani notched a win over Sarah Freeman at the No. 2 spot. The Salukis took the rest of the singles matches and topped off the sweep by earning the doubles point.
The Salukis are back in action on Feb. 18 as SIU will take on the Huskies of Northern Illinois.
