O'FALLON, ILL. - The Salukis were edged out in match play as Northern Illinois handed them a 5-2 defeat at the St. Clair Tennis Club.
The Salukis started off the day droppingthe doubles point as they were swept in the No.1-3 doubles spots.
SIU had similar results in singles play, as they were only able to post two wins with Zuzana Palovic defeating NIU's Delgadillo (6-4, 7-6 (4) and Laura Bredniak was able to notch a victory over Brooks.
The Salukis are back in action Feb. 25 when they travel to Muncie, Ind., to face Ball State.
