Women's tennis comes up empty in S.C.

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The Southern Illinois women's tennis team dropped two matches in South Carolina.
The Salukis lost to Charleston Southern 5-2 on Tuesday.
"Charleston Southern played a really solid match," said tennis coach Rene Vidal. "They deserve a lot of credit."
The Buccaneers took the doubles point winning all three matches.
Amanda Taillefer and Laura Bredniak earned singles wins at the No. 3 and 5 spots respectively.
"We need to work on developing our match toughness," said Vidal.
The Salukis were looking to rebound after the lost, but found themselves in the same position against College of Charleston.
The Cougars(6-7) dominated SIU winning 6-1. The loss dropped the Salukis record to 2-4.
In singles action Zoya Honarmand was the only Saluki to come away with a win. She easily defeated Kelsey Darnell 6-3, 6-0.
The Salukis next match is at Memphis on March 18th.
