TERRE HAUTE, IN. ---Â The Southern Illinois swimming and diving teams returned to action Friday afternoon after over a month off from competition. Traveling to Terre Haute, Indiana, both the men's and women's teams came away victorious. The men's team defeated UIndy 155-142 and Ball State 198-96. Meanwhile, the women's team took down Indiana State 153-147 and UIndy 215.5-84.5.Â
"We were very pleased with the toughness the team displayed today," says head coach Geoff Hanson. "Coming to the end of our biggest training block of the year during the winter break, and stepping off the bus after a four hour snowy ride, it would have been easy to make excuses. But that's not what this team is about and they proved it today. Back to work tomorrow with big goals in mind! Go Dawgs!"Â
